Volleyball Coach ("the app", "we", "us") is a coaching companion app for volleyball teams. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

Account information

If you create an account, we collect your email address through Firebase Authentication (or your Google / Apple identifier if you sign in that way) to give you access to your data and to synchronize it across your devices. You can also use the app as a guest without an account; in that case your data stays only on your device and is not sent to us.

Coaching content you create

When synchronization is enabled, the teams, players, games, court formations, rotations, and training exercises you create are stored on our servers under your account so they can be backed up and synchronized across your devices.

Purchase and subscription information

If you subscribe to Pro or club features, our subscription provider (RevenueCat) and the app store you purchased through (Google Play or the Apple App Store) process your purchase and share subscription status and entitlement information with us so the app can unlock the features you paid for. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Usage and diagnostic data

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the app is used and to diagnose crashes and performance issues. This can include device information, app usage events, and crash logs.

Camera and photo access

The app uses your device camera only when you open the QR-code scanner, to read the code you point it at. If you choose to save a formation image, it is written to your device's photo library; we do not collect or receive a copy of it.

How we use your information

• To provide core app functionality, including account access, synchronization, and backup.
• To manage subscriptions and unlock the Pro or club features you purchase.
• To understand app usage and improve the app.
• To diagnose and fix crashes and technical issues.
• To respond to support requests you send us.

We do not use your data for targeted advertising, do not sell your data, and do not share it with data brokers.

Data retention

We retain your account and synced coaching data for as long as your account is active. Diagnostic and analytics data is retained according to Firebase's default retention settings.

Deleting your data

Signing out clears the app's local data on your device but does not delete your account or your synced data from our servers. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at info@fortega.be. Note that deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription — please cancel any subscription separately through the store you purchased it from.

If you are part of a club with other members, deleting your account may affect shared club data; we will let you know how that is handled when you request deletion.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@fortega.be.

Children's privacy

Volleyball Coach is intended for coaches and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
